Frequently Asked Questions
There is not a “one size fits all” answer to this question. Every person and every family is different, so your estate plan should be as unique as you are. We offer a free Initial Consultation to discuss estate plans that will best fit your particular situation. At the end of your Initial Consultation, you will have the attorney’s recommendation as to whether a will or trust is the best fit for you.
First, complete our Legacy Design Worksheet. After we receive your completed Legacy Design Worksheet, a team member will contact you to schedule your free Initial Consultation. Due to COVID-19, the Initial Consultation meetings are conducted via video conference or via phone call; if you can meet via video conference, we urge you to do so. We are currently reserving in person meetings for document signing appointments.
The Legacy Design Worksheet is intended to gather information that will help you get the most benefit out of your free Initial Consultation. The attorney will use your information to make personalized recommendations and address facets of the law and estate planning that apply to you and your goals specifically.
The information requested in the Worksheet is Confidential. The Worksheet has been carefully crafted and we only include questions that may have important implications for your estate plan. The information about your assets can be a summary – you are not required to provide exact amounts or account numbers; however, a summary of your assets is necessary for an attorney to advise you.
Almost all of our estate plans are done on a flat fee basis. The fee depends on the type and complexity of the estate plan. To find out the cost of a comprehensive estate plan designed to fit your needs, please complete our Legacy Design Worksheet, and schedule a free Initial Consultation. Providing comprehensive answers on the Worksheet will enable the attorney to recommend an estate plan (or plan options) that fit your needs. Once the attorney has established their plan recommendation, they will be able to tell you the cost of that specific plan and the value it will provide to you and your family in the future.
Welcome to Colorado! Yes, you should schedule a free Initial Consultation to discuss what updates are necessary. Certain documents are state specific so it is a great idea to meet with an attorney after you relocate, to ensure your documents are compliant with Colorado law.
